• Thomas has got together with his ex-wife again, and come to realize that all consuming absorption in his work precludes a happy family life. Much to Katrine’s chagrin, he resigns from the police in order to take up his former post at the University. But as his final day approaches, a violent case from his past crops up.
  
  As a young psychologist, he held back from sending a patient who was manically drawing the details of a tragic road traffic accident over and over again to a secure hospital . When these bloody scenes resurface, enacted as real killings, Thomas is compelled to pursue the case to the end of the line.
